Algonquin Outfitters is the most well-known outfitter and has multiple locations in and around the park, specializing in canoe trip packages and rentals, outfitting and camping services, sea kayaking, and a water-taxi service to the park's central areas. Stores are at Oxtongue Lake (the main store—near the west Highway 60 park entrance), Huntsville, Opeongo Lake, Bracebridge, Haliburton, and Brent Base on Cedar Lake. Portage Store. If you plan to camp in the park, you may want to contact the Portage Store, which provides extensive outfitting services and guided canoe trips. It rents canoes and sells self-guided canoe "packages" that include all the equipment you need for a canoeing-and-camping trip in the park. Also available are bike rentals, maps, detailed information about routes and wildlife, and an on-site general store and casual restaurant. When you arrive, employees can help you brush up on your paddling and portaging skills.
