Stewart House Inn Review

The interior of this elegant 1870s home draws on the Victorian period but with modern conveniences. Each guest room hints at a British Empire theme, from the Caribbean-inspired West Indies room, with its intricately carved teak headboard, to the extra-large Regency Room, with a king canopy bed and double soaker tub. All the bathrooms have heated tiles. In the morning, ring down for coffee or tea via the house's original call system before tucking into the large breakfast. The hotel discourages children under 10, and the owner has two miniature schnauzers.
