Niagara Glen. The 82.5-acre Niagara Glen nature reserve has 4 km (2.5 miles) of hiking trails through forested paths that pass giant boulders left behind as the falls eroded the land away thousands of years ago. Some trails are steep and rough, and the Glen has an elevation change of more than 200 feet. Niagara Falls, ON. www.niagaraparks.com/nature-trails.
Niagara River Recreation Trail. From Fort Erie to Niagara-on-the-Lake, this recreation trail is 56 km (35 miles) of bicycle trails along the Niagara River. The 29-km (18-mile) route between Niagara Falls and Niagara-on-the-Lake is paved. The trail is divided into four sections, each with site-specific history: Niagara-on-the-Lake to Queenston; Queenston to the Whirlpool Aero Car; Chippawa to Black Creek; and Black Creek to Fort Erie.
