Soo Locks Review
Lock Tours Canada runs two-hour excursions through the 21-foot-high Soo Locks, the 16th and final lift for ships bound for Lake Superior from the St. Lawrence River and the Atlantic Ocean 3,200 km (2,000 mi) away. Tours aboard the 200-passenger MV Chief Shingwauk, a double-deck vessel with a viewing lounge and food service, leave twice a day from late May through mid-October.
