Thanks to a long-standing British influence, there's plenty of roast beef, shepherd's pie, and rice pudding, especially in the English-dominated enclaves of London, Stratford, and Hamilton. Niagara wines make appearances on menus province-wide; try the sweet ice wine with dessert. Reservations at medium-price and upscale restaurants are recommended, particularly during peak season in the ski and festival towns; the same advice applies to Niagara Falls.
