Fodor's Review

With a 183-meter (600-foot) private beach and 20 acres of lawns and gardens overlooking Northumberland Strait, this inn on the Sunrise Trail Coastal Route has an interesting range of lodging options. Choices include standard rooms, suites (some with Jacuzzis and fireplaces), and relatively rustic cottages with full kitchens that typically rent only by the week from spring through fall. The inn's restaurant serves laudable four-course, prix-fixe dinners, incorporating homegrown

produce, at one 7:30 seating (C$49.50; reservations essential). Look for enticing gourmet and activity packages, too.
