Barrington and Cape Sable Island

Cape Sable Island—not to be confused with Sable Island, way out in the Atlantic—is a sleepy spot just off the beaten path, known for its contribution to the province’s seafood harvest. You’ll find colorful fishing boats afloat in Clark’s Harbour. There are fine sandy beaches as well, one of which, Hawk Beach, offers excellent bird-watching and views of the 1861 Cape Sable Island Lighthouse.
