Fodor's Review

Casually cool, yet somehow warm and intimate, Morris East stakes its reputation on locally sourced ingredients, many of them fresh from the Halifax Seaport Farmers' Market a few blocks away. Gourmet pizzas, topped with the region's best veggies, cheeses, and charcuterie and cooked in an oven that burns Annapolis Valley apple wood, are the house specialty. Libations have local flavor, too: spirits handcrafted in the province go into the artisanal cocktails made here. The

restaurant doesn't take reservations, so come early and take advantage of happy hour, from 5 to 6. There's a second location in New Bedford.
