The Halliburton Review

Three early-19th-century town houses were cleverly combined to create Halifax's original boutique hotel. Rooms vary in size, and rates follow suit, but expect period antiques and up-to-date modern conveniences like flat-screen TVs and iPod docks throughout. Public areas have their own appeal, with a fire-lit library and garden courtyard beckoning in winter and summer respectively. Local game and Atlantic seafood are served in the intimate (but somewhat dark) dining room, Stories ($$$-$$$$).
