Fodor's Review

Packed with exhibits detailing the fine points of fiddling, the center also has an archive with classic recordings and oral history interviews. Visitors eager to pick up a bow can play along to a video tutorial. If you'd rather just get an earful, that's no problem. In summer, daily except Sunday, musical demonstrations (C$12, admission to exhibits included) take place about a dozen times, and the center's dining room hosts lunchtime ceilidhs (free for the entertainment

but not the lunch) from 11:30 to 1 and on Sunday afternoons starting at 3 (C$8). Wednesday-evening ceilidhs (C$6) run from July through mid-October. The adjacent Buddy McMaster School of Fiddling offers weeklong courses during October's Celtic Colours International Festival.
