George Street

George Street Review

The city's most famous street may be short and cobblestoned, but it is said to have more bars per capita than any other street in North America—25 total, as it happens. Trapper John's, to name one, has been named the fourth-greatest drinking establishment in the world by Readers' Digest. (It's also a great place to undertake the "Screeching In Ceremony.") Seasonal open-air festivals, which close off the street, include the George Street Festival in August, with big-name headliners.
