Anglican Cathedral of St. John the Baptist

Anglican Cathedral of St. John the Baptist Review

A fine example of Gothic Revival architecture designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott, this church was first completed in the mid-1800s; it was rebuilt after the 1892 fire. There are free lunchtime organ recitals on Wednesdays from 1:15 to 1:45. Women of the parish operate a tearoom in the crypt in July and August from 2:30 to 4:30 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and from 2 pm on Wednesday. Drop down for a cuppa with homemade scones, tea biscuits, and cookies ($8). There are daily church services.
