Newfoundland Insectarium

Newfoundland Insectarium Review

The Newfoundland Insectarium holds an intriguing collection of live and preserved insects, spiders, scorpions, and a beehive with 10,000 honeybees. The greenhouse is home to hundreds of live tropical butterflies. Check out the gift shop, which sometimes has lollipops with edible dried scorpions inside for sale. The Insectarium is one minute off the Trans-Canada Highway at Deer Lake; turn north onto Route 430.
