St James' Gate

St James' Gate Review

Named after the Guinness brewery in Dublin, this is by no means the standard idea of an Irish-theme pub. It is as authentic a re-creation of an ancient vaulted stone cellar as you will find, providing an atmospheric location to enjoy the accomplished cooking of head chef Emanuel Brison. The menu is strong on local seafood, such as halibut baked with a pistachio crust and curry maple glaze. Meat dishes are equally delicious, and the menu includes snacks, lighter meals, and pub favorites. There's a central, dark-wood bar, a street-side patio, and live music five nights a week. Upstairs is a chic 10-room boutique hotel.
