Homeport Historic Bed & Breakfast Inn Review

Graceful arches, fine antiques, Italian marble fireplaces, Oriental carpets, and a Maritime theme are some of the features in these twin mansions built in 1858 by twin brothers of a prominent Saint John shipbuilding family. The two buildings, now linked by a grand central reception hall that's completely in keeping with the originals, make up one large inn that commands stunning harbor views, particularly from the "widow's walk" on the top floor. Each oversize room is elegant, unique, and equipped with modern amenities. Harbor breezes usually make air-conditioning unnecessary, but it's available if needed. Breakfasts are hearty and homemade. The owners of this sprawling property are well versed in local history and attractions and extremely hospitable.
