Walking

Fredericton has a fine network of nonmotorized (but motorized wheelchairs are permitted) multiuse trails totaling more than 115 km (70 miles), one of which follows the river from the Delta Hotel, passing behind Government House and the Beaverbrook Art Gallery, and in front of the Victorian mansions on Waterloo Row, before crossing the river via the Bill Thorpe Walking Bridge, a former railroad bridge, and continuing along the north side of the river. This also forms part of the Fredericton section of the Trans-Canada Trail. Other trails include Odell Park and the University of New Brunswick campus. The Visitor Information Centre can provide details.
