Fodor's Review:
Sheltered within this 1867 building, which saw service as a post office and RCMP headquarters, is an extensive permanent collection of more than 4,000 works, including an internationally recognized collection of Maritime and folk art by artists such as wood-carver Sydney Howard and painter Joe Norris. Also here is the actual home of the late folk painter Maude Lewis, whose bright, cheery paintings cover the tiny structure inside and out. The collection of contemporary art has major works by Christopher Pratt, Alex Colville, John Nesbitt, and Dawn McNutt.
