Old Strathcona Historic Area

Fodor's Review:

The area along 124 and 125 streets between Jasper and 109 avenues is full of boutiques, bistros, bookstores, and galleries. There are more than 125 shops, including unique antiques and specialty boutiques, sporting goods stores, furniture design workshops, and a number of art galleries. With its fine restaurants, live theater, specialty shops, and galleries, 124 Street is a must-see. Old Strathcona Historic Area, the area surrounding 104 Street and Whyte Avenue on the south side of the river, is a bustling area where you will find locally produced arts and crafts, unique fashions and accessories, interesting antiques, and unusual collectibles. The Saturday farmer's market features local produce.
