Fairmont Château Whistler Resort Review
Just steps from the Blackcomb ski lifts, this imposing-looking fortress is a self-contained, ski-in, ski-out resort-within-a-resort with its own shopping arcade, golf course, and impressive spa. The cavernous lobby is filled with rustic Canadiana, handmade Mennonite rugs, overstuffed sofas, and a grand fireplace. Standard rooms are all comfortably furnished, and most have mountain views. Rooms and suites on the Entrée Gold floors have fireplaces, whirlpool tubs, and their own concierge, plus a private lounge where you can enjoy a complimentary Continental breakfast in the morning and hors d'oeuvres before dinner. Ski and bike storage are convenient. The resort's Wildflower Restaurant serves fine Pacific Northwest fare against stunning mountain views. And the spa is irresistible; try an Ayurvedic treatment.
