Whistler and Blackcomb Nightlife

View all »

No Whistler trip would be complete without experiencing the town's après scene—be it after a day of skiing or hiking the trails. With amazing mountain views and ample patio space, there's a surprisingly good choice of nightlife, most of it in the pedestrian-oriented village and within walking distance of the hotels and ski slopes.

Most pubs, clubs, and bars are open year-round. Dance clubs are open until 2 AM Monday-Saturday and until 1 AM on Sunday (be prepared for lines on weekends); pubs close around 1 AM, midnight on Sunday. Most nightspots serve food, which is often a good value compared with Whistler's pricey restaurants. All venues ban smoking, except in outdoor patios. You must be at least 19 to enter bars or nightclubs, though many pubs have restaurant sections open to all.

For entertainment listings, pick up Whistler's weekly news magazine, the Pique.
