Fodor's Review

In summer, a passenger ferry, run by Alpine Sidney Spit Ferry (www.alpinegroup.ca), makes the half-hour trip several times a day to this long stretch of beach on Sidney Island, part of the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve. Hiking trails and picnic sites make for a pleasant day on the island.
