Ulla Restaurant
Ulla Restaurant Review
Victoria's foodies are buzzing about this Chinatown restaurant that's serving up some of the city's most innovative fare. From the frequently changing, locally sourced menu, you could choose starters like garlic and celery root ravioli in a basil emulsion or the albacore tuna carpaccio, then continue your meal with chicken (a poached breast and crispy leg paired with tortellini and a trio of carrots and peas), shortrib steak (with Swiss-style potatoes, spring onions, and oyster mushrooms), or halibut (with a lemon and black olive dressing). Vegetarians might opt for a plate of kale shoots, fiddlehead ferns, asparagus, and other delectable plant matter. The high arched windows, solid fir tables, and art-filled walls make the room feel both airy and relaxed.
