Victoria and Vancouver Island Sights

Victoria Butterfly Gardens Review

Hundreds of butterflies—of 50 different species—flutter freely in an indoor tropical garden that's also home to orchids and carnivorous plants, koi, cockatoos, flamingos, tortoises, geckos, and poison dart frogs. The 20-minute guided tours depart several times a day. The site is a popular stop en route to the Butchart Gardens, and children—and many adults—are entranced. The butterflies, which are bred for the center and not captured in the wild, are most active on sunny days.
