Victoria and Vancouver Island Sights

Sidney Spit Review

In summer, a passenger ferry costing C$19 makes the half-hour run to this long stretch of beach on Sidney Island, part of the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve. Hiking trails and picnic sites make for a pleasant day on the island. The ferry leaves several times a day from Beacon Wharf at the end of Beacon Avenue in Sidney.
