Book NowSooke Harbour House Review
Art, food, and gardens work together seamlessly at one of Canada's best-loved country inns. Guest rooms, public spaces, and even the outdoors are beautifully decorated with pieces from the owners' vast art collection. Guest rooms in the 1929 oceanfront inn, each with a fireplace and private balcony or patio are individually themed and exquisitely comfortable in an informal country-house way. All the romantic requisites, from in-room spa services to breakfast in bed, are offered.

truereview, from Seattle, WA
I reserved one night here at the last minute. I was assured the inn was a non smoking property.
When I arrived I noticed the prevailing smell of smoke. Woodsmoke. It was everywhere, my guest room, outdoors, in the restaurant, and in the public rooms.
After a few hours of this assault, I decided my fragile lungs could not stand any more. I checked out and was told by the staff at the front desk that the owner would give no refunds. Period.
I am lucky I only reserved one night. I also learned to add another question to my list when choosing a hotel.
I reminded myself that I should always read the fine print. And then I remembered that every time I have had had a problem with accomadations they have always had far too much fine print on their website and literature.
A word to the wise. If you need an attorney to help you make a reservation go elsewhere.
