Willie's Bakery & Café

Updated 05/09/2012

Fodor's Review

Housed in a handsome Victorian building near Market Square, this eatery goes organic, free-range, and local in its omelets, brioches, French toast, and homemade granola breakfasts and its lunches of homemade soups, thick sandwiches, and tasty baked treats. A brick patio with an outdoor fireplace is partially glassed in so you can lunch alfresco even on chilly days. Willie's claims to be the oldest bakery in British Columbia and bread is still baked in the back room, just

as it has been since 1887.

Secret berry jam, seaplanes, robins in the fountain

This was my best experience in Victoria. Organic, seasonal fare with no pretense.

Best lunch in town!!!

Fresh ingredients, crusty bread, lots of flowers - what a great spot for lunch!! We returned every day.

Colorful, friendly and delish!

I've been to Willie's a few times now and really love it. It's an ideal place for brunch. The bakery has a full menu filled with lots of variety. The only negative is that it's not a large place (seats about 20) so you may have to wait for a seat.
