Fodor's Expert Review Markus' Bistro and Dinner Club

Two cozy rooms, one with a fireplace, and a small patio overlook Sooke Harbour from this former fisherman's cottage. The European-trained chef-owner makes the most of the local wild seafood and organic produce, much of it from the restaurant's own garden, for his daily-changing lunch menus. Shrimp cakes, grilled prawns, a rich seafood soup, or a tender pulled-pork ciabatta may appear. Set dinners are offered for groups by reservation.
