Fishing

You can fish for salmon all year round in coastal British Columbia, weather and marine conditions permitting. Halibut, at up to 25 kilograms (55 pounds), is the area's other trophy fish. Charters ply the waters between the mouth of the Capilano River in Burrard Inlet and the outer Strait of Georgia and Gulf Islands. A fishing license can be purchased from the boat rental or tour operator. Sewell's Marina is also known for its salmon fishing excursions.
