Fodor's Review

On the Capilano First Nations Reserve in North Vancouver, this longhouse-style gallery showcases items crafted by members of the Squamish Indian Band, as well as work by other aboriginal artists in British Columbia and western Canada. You'll find ceremonial masks, hand-knit sweaters, and jewelry made of silver, gold, porcupine quill, or bone. The store is owned by Nancy Nightingale, the daughter of Chief Simon Baker, whose traditional name, Khot-la-Cha, means "kind heart" in the Squamish language.
