Sunset Beach
Sunset Beach Review
Farther along Beach Avenue towards the Burrard Bridge, Sunset Beach, between Thurlow and Bute streets, is too close to the downtown core for clean safe swimming, but is a great spot for an evening stroll as well as taking your dog for an (off-leash optional) walk. It's also a "quiet" beach. You can catch a ferry to Granville Island here, or swim at the Vancouver Aquatic Centre, a public indoor pool and fitness center. Amenities: lifeguards; food and drink; toilets; parking (fee). Best for: walking; sunset.
