Spanish Banks Beach

Spanish Banks Beach Review

Spanish Banks and Locarno beaches begin at the start of NWest Marine Drive and offer huge expanses of sunbathing sand backed by wide lawns full of picnic tables and, in areas, tall evergreens that offer shade. The shallow water, warmed slightly by sun and sand, is good for swimming. Farther out, toward Spanish Bank Extension, the beach becomes less crowded. Spanish Bank West and Locarno beaches are designated "quiet beaches." Amenities: water sports; food and drink; toilets; lifeguards; parking (free). Best for: swimming; walking; windsurfing.
