This exceptionally romantic riverside B&B is part of a historic floating-home community, 30 minutes south of downtown. Choose from a little floating house with a loft bed and an antique claw-foot tub; a two-level suite (once a loft for drying fish nets) with a Japanese soaking tub on the deck; or two river's-edge units, each with a woodstove and a waterside deck. Gourmet breakfasts are delivered to your room and in-room dinners are available with advance notice. Romance packages include champagne and a sprinkling of rose petals. Note that this is tidal country so if you want to explore the area, rubber-soled shoes are recommended. Pros: Unique, on the water, out of town, romantic. Cons: Out of town, need a car to get here and traffic through the tunnel beneath the Fraser River can be painstakingly slow at peak times.
