Wreck Beach
Wreck Beach Review
Canada's largest clothing-optional beach is reached via a steep trail and flight of stairs from Gate 6, off Marine Drive. This 6-km-long (4-mile-long) wilderness beach, managed by a team of volunteers, has a delightfully anarchic culture. The driftwood is tangled, bathing suits are optional, and at Vendors Row, below Trail 6, you can buy an array of food, including pizza, homemade sandwiches, and buffalo burgers. You can get a pedicure, massage, or haircut; buy handmade jewelry; or indulge in an alcoholic beverage. Up to 14,000 people might visit this sandy beach on a summer weekend. There are no lifeguards. Amenities : food and drink. Best for: partiers; nudists; swimming; walking.
