Jericho, Locarno, and Spanish Banks beaches begin at the end of Point Grey Road and offer huge expanses of sand backed by wide lawns full of picnic tables. The shallow water, warmed slightly by sun and sand, is good for swimming. Jericho Beach, with Jericho Sailing Centre complex, is popular for windsurfing. Farther out, toward Spanish Banks, the beach becomes less crowded.
