Raincity Grill

Raincity Grill Review

One of the best places to try British Columbian food and wine is this lovely candlelit bistro overlooking English Bay. The menu changes regularly and relies almost completely on local and regional products, from salmon and shellfish to game and fresh organic vegetables. Vegetarian selections are always available, and the exclusively Pacific Northwest and Californian wine list has at least 40 choices by the glass. One popular alternative is the 100 Mile Tasting Menu—all ingredients in this multicourse dinner are sourced from within 100 mi of the restaurant. Another prix-fixe option, the early dinner (C$30), is a steal; it's served from 5 to 6 pm. Reservations are required for these prix-fixe dinners.
