Fodor's Review:

Though the construction of a nearby condo tower threatens to eclipse the lovely views of Stanley Park and the North Shore mountains that have long been visible through its two-story floor-to-ceiling windows, this upscale Cantonese restaurant in the art deco Marine Building is still classy. Any dish with lobster, crab, or shrimp from the live tanks is recommended, as is dim sum, served daily 11 AM to 2:30 PM.

There are many far better dim sum options than Imperial in Vancouver. Nothing was awful, but nothing was wonderful -- the food does not match the location. The skin on the har gau, for example, was simply too thick. The dan tat was slightly indented, suggesting that it had been overcooked. The menu is limited to the "standard" dim sum options.
