Vancouver's most luxurious airport hotel is actually part of the international terminal building, making flight check-in a breeze. Rooms and public areas are fashionably eco-chic with pale woods, calming neutrals, extensive use of local cedar and slate, and arts commissioned from local artists. One floor is completely hypoallergenic—rooms have hypoallergenic pillows and comforters, water and air purifiers, and central vacuum systems that reduce dust—and all rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows—the triple-pane construction provides near-perfect soundproofing. Rooms on the north side have mountain views; some rooms have jetted tubs for two. Pros: Fantastic for passengers in transit (especially those with early morning departures), the spa, comfortable lounge for easier good-byes over cocktails, runway views. Cons: Rather a hike to the domestic terminal, a 30-minute drive into Vancouver.
