The staff at this classy, business-district boutique hotel prides itself on attentive personal service. The golden color scheme and intimate fireplace in the neoclassical lobby and the vibrant gold-and-crimson fabrics in the guest rooms—most are small suites—radiate warmth. Luxurious touches abound, such as 300-thread-count Egyptian cotton sheets and marble bathrooms. The Copper Chimney restaurant adds a New York-inspired bistro flair. Two penthouse suites have 24-foot ceilings and wraparound terraces. The hotel doesn't have a pool or fitness facilities, but you have access to the extensive facilities at the YWCA next door for a fee.
