Wild Rice
Wild Rice Review
The look is decadent postmodern, with couches and a glowing aquamarine bar; the food, served in portions meant for sharing, borrows from China and across Asia but has a contemporary spin and an emphasis on local ingredients. You might find Chinese ravioli stuffed with a "sustainable Pacific fish" and sauced with green curry, B.C. halibut and soba noodles in a coconut-lemongrass broth, or locally raised tea-smoked duck with a galette of Asian pears. Cocktails that play on the menu's Asian flavors (such as the Lotus—lychee-infused vodka, lychee nectar, lime, and ginger ale) or an assortment of teas are the best drink choices.
