Fodor's Expert Review Loden Hotel

1177 Melville St., Vancouver, British Columbia, V6E 0A3, Canada

This chic, designer boutique hotel has all manner of perks to enhance your stay, including rooms equipped with Wi-Fi, TVs with oversize LCD screens, a Nespresso machine, and a yoga mat for a stretch and sun salutation. Floor-to-ceiling windows fill the spacious guest rooms with natural light—and if you slide open the bathroom's half wall you can enjoy the views from the soaker tub. Ask for an upgrade upon arrival and you might get a corner room with two walls of windows for fabulous views, or a one-bedroom suite. Although centrally located, the hotel is on a side street so it's much quieter than its Downtown counterparts. There's a state-of-the-art gym and free bicycles to explore the city as well as a London-style taxi-- the cabbie provides drop off/pick up services Downtown. The hotel's Tableau Bar Bistro serving French-influenced west coast cuisine is a great spot, too.
