Why We Like It

Executive Hotel Le Soleil is the perfect mix of old-world charm and new-world amenities and offers an almost-luxury experience without the luxury price tag. And when you throw in the convenience of being in the heart of downtown? You've got a winner on your hands.

Fodor's Expert Review

The vibe at the Executive Hotel Le Soleil is one from another time. Between the ornate furnishings to the rich colors and textures, this hotel has an old-world charm that will appeal to travelers looking for a more vintage experience—but the new-world amenities keep the place from getting too stuffy, which will appeal to younger travelers as well.

Room

Each of the suites at the Executive Hotel Le Soleil offers separate sleeping and sitting areas along with richly colored fabric and furnishings (gold and crimson is the hotel's main color palette) sourced from both local and European artisans. Beds feel extremely luxurious, with silk brocade coverlets and down pillows and duvets.

Tip If you can splurge for one of the two penthouse suites, it will be worth it—both units feature 24-foot ceilings and wraparound terraces, perfect for soaking in the views of the surrounding city.

Bathroom

Bathrooms are well-maintained, but definitely on the smaller side and come stocked with Aveda hair and body products.

Lobby

The lobby, with its tall ceilings, large windows, and marble and wood check-in counter, is inspired by the Savoy in London and Le Crillon in Paris.

You Should Know The lobby is elegant, but there's not a ton of seating, so this is probably not a place you'll want to spend too much time during your stay.

Pool

Guests have access to the YWCA facilities next door, which include a pool.

Spa

There's no spa at Executive Hotel Le Soleil, but guests can call the front desk and request an in-room spa treatment.

Gym

A limited, private cardio studio is open to all guests on the 2nd floor—otherwise, head to the YWCA next door.

Dining

The Copper Chimney Restaurant & Bar serves contemporary Indian-inspired dishes that are among the best in the city—make sure to try the Mumbai spiced meatballs with mozzarella for a particularly interesting fusion of flavors.

Drinking

Choose from an impressive list of both local and international wine at The Copper Chimney.
