Fodor's Expert Review Predator Ridge Resort

301 Village Centre Pl., British Columbia, V1H 1T2, Canada

Set on two stunning 18-hole golf courses, this full-service resort offers a wide range of accommodations, from studio, one-, and two-bedroom units in the modern Craftsman-style lodge to two- and three-bedroom cottages. All units have full kitchens (useful, since the resort is a 10-minute drive from town), though plentiful on-site dining options include the steak-focused Range Lounge & Grill, the Italian Pallino's, the casual Clubhouse Lounge, and a small café and market. Resort amenities include a gym with a 25-meter lap pool. Lodging and golf packages are available. Individual and small-group golf lessons are offered, as are a variety of golf camps. Note that the golf courses are closed from mid-October through early April, though the hotel stays open. The resort is in the hills 40 km (25 miles) north of Kelowna and 15 km (9 miles) south of Vernon, off Highway 97. About a 15-minute drive from the Scenic Sip wineries, which is six wineries just to the south.
