Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village

Fodor's Review:

3 km (2 mi) east of Elk Island National Park, 50 km (31 mi) east of Edmonton.

The village consists of 34 historic buildings, gathered from around east-central Alberta, which have been assembled in three theme areas to illustrate the culture and lifestyle of pre-1930s Ukrainian settlers. Guides in period dress interpret the displays: the Railway Townsite, Rural Community, and Farmstead.

  • Cost: C$8
  • Open: May 15-early Sept., daily 10-6; early Sept.-mid-Oct., weekends 10-6
