More than 70 golf courses are within an hour's drive of the city center. Victoria Golf Course (12130 River Rd., University District. 780/496-4900) is the oldest municipal golf course in Canada. The par-71, 6,027-yard, 18-hole course is centrally located in the river valley parkland and offers unique views of the Alberta Legislature and the University of Alberta. Green fees are C$22-C$41.
