Fairmont Château Lake Louise Review

There's a good chance that no hotel anywhere has a more dramatic view out its back door. Terraces and lawns reach to the famous aquamarine lake, backed by the Victoria Glacier. Guest rooms have neocolonial furnishings, and some have terraces. The hotel began as a wooden chalet in 1890, but after a 1924 fire it was given its stone facade. The nearly half-dozen dining choices range from family dining in the Brasserie to night-on-the-town elegance in the Fairview Dining Room. Riding stables and canoe rentals are available on the property during the summer months. In the winter, you can enjoy a sleigh ride around the lake or rent ice skates and enjoy skating on Lake Louise.
