With abundant on-site recreational amenities, this lakeside resort, 4½ mi (7 km) northeast of Jasper, is a destination in itself, whether or not you stay overnight. Accommodations vary from cedar chalets and log cabins to specialty cabins with up to eight bedrooms. Rooms include down duvets, and all have either a porch, patio, or balcony. Winter guests love the year-round outdoor swimming pool, which is heated to 86°F /30°C in winter. Canoe rentals and horseback riding are available in the summer months and sleigh rides are offered in the winter. The golf course was voted the "best golf resort in Canada" by readers of Score Magazine in 2005, and nearby Marmot Basin has world-class skiing. It's located off Old Fort Point Road, 1½ km (1 mi) from the Highway 93A junction.
