Revelstoke Mountain Resort (800/991-4455. www.discoverrevelstoke.com) took over a local powder and a helicopter skiing outfit to form the base operations for this new resort development which opened in winter 2007 with the longest vertical run in North America—about 7,000 feet. In addition to the new cut and gladed mountain terrain, it organizes two- to five-day all-inclusive packages that run into the Selkirks and on the upper slopes of Mt. MacKenzie in Revelstoke as well as all-inclusive packages in the Selkirk and Monashee mountains near Revelstoke, with accommodations in town.
