Banff in One Day

Start your day early with a visit to the Banff Information Centre, where you can pick up maps and information on the major sites. Buy lunch provisions and drive to beautiful Lake Louise. Walk the flat shoreline trail and venture upward along the Lake Agnes Trail to the Teahouse (or turn back once you get a satisfyingly lofty view of Lake Louise).

On the drive back to Banff town, stop at Johnston Canyon and allow an hour for the easy round-trip hike to the dramatic waterfall. Have dinner in Banff or at Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, a National Historic Site. After supper, explore the hotel's interior before finishing off the day with an evening dip in the Banff Upper Hot Springs.
