The U-District, as everyone calls it, is exactly what it sounds like: an extended campus for the students of the University of Washington ("U-Dub" to locals). There are two museums close to the campus; combine a visit to one with a stroll to the campus's main plaza (called Red Square after its brick paving) for a view of both college life and Mt. Rainier. When you get hungry, just head up University Way (simply known as "The Ave") for the best selection of cheap ethnic food in the city.
