$$$-$$$$, Belltown
Fodor's Review:
Scandinavian sensibility and clean, modern lines define this sophisticated Belltown hotel, which is a great, less-pricey alternative to the W. The lobby is fantastic, with armchairs and couches arranged in front of a fireplace that's flanked by floor-to-ceiling bookcases. It also has a loft area, where you can retreat to if Lola, the restaurant right off the lobby, gets too boisterous. Rooms (most of which are suites) have khaki color walls and dark fabrics and woods, with a few bright accents and geometric prints here and there. Alpaca headboards and large wood-framed mirrors are interesting touches, and all the linens, towels (from Frette), and toiletries are high quality. The Ändra's clientele includes people in the creative fields and the music industry, along with Microsoft and biotech moguls in the making.
